Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) is established under the Warehousing Corporations Act, 1962 and is functioning under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Govt. of India. CWC has been set up for providing warehousing services for storage of agriculture produce and other notified commodities. CWC is also operating Bonded Warehouses, General Warehouses as well as Inland Container Depots (ICDs) and Container Freight Stations (CFSs) all over the country.
CWC Regional Office Lucknow is operating 36 Warehouses, 01 ICD, 01 PFT and 03 Rail Side Warehouses in the state of Uttar Pradesh total 10.30 LMT capacity, whereas 422 no of warehouses PAN India level and having total operational capacity of 104.44 LMT.
